Smoothed Dissipative Particle Dynamics (SDPD)
SDPD is the meso-scopic extension of Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH). In SDPD, neighboring particles have two types of interaction: deterministic and stochastic. The deterministic interactions have conservative parts and dissipative parts. They usually include hydrodynamic interaction for the solvent and other discrete coarse-graining interactions for the macromolecular solute. The stochastic interactions are not independent and are formulated according to the dissipative interactions by constraining thermodynamics consistency.
