One of the most important cooperation platforms of the Chair of Thermodynamics during the time of Professor Sattelmayer's leadership was the AG-Turbo, which has been promoting turbomachinery research in Germany since the mid-1980s, compiling and coordinating research programs focused on current issues. Within this framework, AG-Turbo brings together interested researchers from universities and research centers with the turbomachinery industry. The cooperation projects are financed proportionally by industry and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK). Project progress is presented twice a year within the individual working groups in order to promote technical and scientific exchange.
Within the framework of the AG-Turbo, the Chair of Thermodynamics was active in the Combustion Working Group for around 25 years. During this long period, well over a dozen projects were executed by numerous doctoral students and a large number of students were introduced to turbomachinery research.
Jan Andre Rosenkranz gave his final presentation on the last AG-Turbo project of the Chair of Thermodynamics today at the Combustion Working Group meeting at the Ruhr University Bochum with the title „Antrieb von HF-Schwingungen durch vorgemischte Strahlflammen“.
