On October 14, Dr.-Ing. Klaus Wolfert passed away at the age of 85 after long and serious illness. He found his final resting place today at the Ottobrunn park cemetery.
The Chair of Thermodynamics is deeply indebted to him. During his time at the Gesellschaft für Reaktorsicherheit (GRS) and for many years after his retirement, he significantly contributed to the teaching offered by the Chair of Thermodynamics with his lecture on the modelling of two-phase flows. Even after handing over his lecture to his successor, he always remained associated with the Chair and never lost contact. We will remember him as an extremely likeable and motivating lecturer with an open mind, a great interest in new ideas and an exceptionally positive attitude to life.
