The prize is awarded by the Scientific Working Group Technical Thermodynamics e.V. (WATT) for the most outstanding dissertation of the year in the field of Engineering Thermodynamics in Germany. Dr. Fiala receives the prize in recognition of his dissertation "Radiation from High Pressure Hydrogen-Oxygen Flames and Its Use in Assessing Rocket Combustion Instability”.
Dr. Fiala will present a summary of his work at the opening of the Thermodynamics Colloquium on 05/10/2016 in Kaiserslautern, where he will also receive his award certificate. The prize is endowed with 1000 €.
