Martin Lauer was a doctoral student at the Chair of Thermodynamics from 2005 to 2011, during which time he researched the relationships between chemiluminescence and heat release in turbulent combustion processes as part of a project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Following his doctorate, his career path took him to combustor development for gas turbines at MAN Diesel & Turbo SE in Oberhausen. In Hamburg, he will begin teaching fluid mechanics and turbomachinery in the fall.
Congratulations on the appointment to Hamburg!
