The Institute of Thermodynamics is pleased to welcome Nancy Kings who works since February 2016 as Postdoctoral Researcher on combustion instabilities in rocket engines in the framework of the SFB TRR40 project. Her knowledge and work experience in the field of combustion dynamics is highly appreciated and her start at the Institute is supposed to make a major contribution to the progress of our research on combustion stability in rocket engines. Dr. Kings holds a PhD from TU Berlin. Already during her research assistant time at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Berlin she worked on the experimental investigation of combustion noise in the framework of the EU FP7 project RECORD (Research On Core Noise Reduction). She joined the Laboratoire EM2C of CNRS and CentraleSupélec in Paris where she expanded her research towards dynamic temperature measurements. The Institute of Thermodynamics wishes Dr. Kings a successful start in her new position.
