Working Opportunities
- Development of own research portfolio and research group
- Support for habilitation reasearch
Qualifications
- Ph.D. thesis in engineering, thermodynamics, energy, and heat transfer
- Teaching experience is necessary, either as
- a teaching assistant in Germany and on an international level (preferred)
- or with proven experience of supervision on Master thesis level
- Fluent in German and English
- Proven by peer-reviewed publications in indexed journals
Required Work Contribution
- Administrative support in running the chair of Thermodynamics, such as
- Commissioned for TUMonline
- Experienced in teaching courses and exam administration
- Project development including planning, cost calculation, and controlling
- Facility development
- Supervision of experimental facilities
- Safety Reviews, Secova Sam administration
- Teaching bachelor- and master-level classes in the thermodynamics curriculum, such as
- M.S. level Heat- and Mass Transfer
- B.S. level Heat Transfer
Soft Skills
- Be able to initiate and develop collaboration across different disciplines and with industry
- Good time management and planning skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- Proven ability to manage competing demands effectively, responsibly, and without close support
- Proven ability to work well both individually and in leading a team
- Collaborative personality with a teamwork spirit
What We Offer
Payment according to TV-L West E14 in full-time (40 hours a week) for a minimum of three years, with a possible 3-year extension, and subsequent permanent employment.
