Last week, our institute, in collaboration with Institute for Mathematics and Computer-Based Simulation (Universität der Bundeswehr München), Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon, and Ruhr University Bochum, hosted the 2nd German Workshop on Next-Generation Software Development in Computational Mechanics. This workshop brought together researchers from diverse backgrounds to share knowledge and foster collaboration.
Participants engaged in a variety of sessions, including insightful code presentations and discussions on topics such as mesh generation, documentation and testing. A focus was placed on QUEENS, with dedicated sessions exploring its application scenarios and interoperability with forward solvers.
The informal networking opportunities, including a walking tour along Herrsching Uferpromenade, further enhanced connections among attendees. We appreciate all contributors and look forward to future endeavors together.
